Default If Twitter existed during the Attitude Era...?

Do you think top WWE legends would have had millions of followers compared to what they have now?

Im just asking cause modern day fans seem to think current superstars are so much more over & better than wrestlers from the 90's. They always refer to twitter

Example 1

"Oh John Cena is so much better than Stone Cold because Cena has 5 million followers & Stone Cold has 1 million"

Example 2

"Aj Lee is better than Trish Stratus cause AJ has 1 million followers & Trish has 600K"

Are they retarded? Dont they realise that twitter never existed when past guys where in thier prime and most of thier fans probably dont have twitter?

I think The Attitude Era superstars and even jobbers would have had more followers then than the current superstars.

LOGIC WINS:

1. in 1993 WWF was doing majority of its tv tapings of Raw in the Manhattan Center in New York.

2. in 1997 WWF was touring large venues getting 10,000 on a weekly basis. this is all because of Steve Austin being a major draw with his anti-authority attitude.

fun fact: the audience of the WWE went down as they focused more on "family friendly" programming. all during John Cena's time as champion in the 2000's.

I think Austin would have had millions of followers on Twitter. He became a huge hit with the audience and especially when always feuding with Vince. I think The Rock would have had a big fanbase and I think Mick Foley would have had a pretty big fanbase. Undertaker and Kane probably would have had a a lot of fans but I am not sure if they are guys that would tweet that much.

Most people didn't even have a computer back then. But yeah if they had that kind of thing back then it would be the same as now.

If we replaced the current roster of wrestlers with the ones from the Attitude Era, you'd see the exact same results. This goes for every other sport as well. There would still be trolls, and there would still be bandwagoners. Hulk Hogan would have been treated like John Cena today, Stone Cold would be bandwagoned like Cm Punk, and so on.
