how could i train for high school wrestling?

Default how could i train for high school wrestling?

hello im sort of new to sports and a lot of my friends say i should join wrestling and i want to know how i can train for it as it will start in winter and want a little notice on how its going to be and what i can do to train (more on what workouts to do) i did do football and have done conditioning for it last year but now i skipped football (for grades) but i want to join a sport again and i guess since i did football wrestling (i know its harder ive heard) wouldnt be as bad as i thought it would be im going to join i just need to know what i can do to train for that particular sport and what to prepare for it and thanks for the help

Jog, sprint, jump rope. Stay away from drugs and alcohol and watch what you eat. Try to join now since most schools are starting their pre season.so you can learn and practice the moves. Cardio plays a huge part in wrestling but so does technique. Stick with it and it'll pay off. About 75% of guys quit and I hope you're not one of them. Stay hydrated. Look up videos about the wrestling stance and practice that Good luck!

Try to stay a constant weight but have good muscle mass. A lot of wrestling is technique so i suggest going to off season if possible. If not, they start woth the basics every year so theres no need to be worried. They will help you. But besides that id say work out all muscles. All of your muscles are useful in wrestling. Even your neck. Also try to train agility, endurance, and hand-eye coordination. Especially train those last three. They will become very useful
