It's a shame I guess but he's not done commentary since 2009, I wish they never drafted him from RAW.

I loved watching RAW on a Tuesday morning (I taped it as its on til 4am in the UK) and hearing Heel pervert Lawler and J.R with that awesome roster! Now Lawler is a biased face and the likes of Angle, HBK, Shelton Benjamin, Carlito etc are gone and its PG.

Didn't he retire a while ago? I mean he shows up once a year now at Wrestlemania, and to be honest his performances weren't very good. He kept getting overshadowed by Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, and JBL. Barely got a word in

He was one of the best commentators of all-time though, he'll be missed.

It would be sadder if he was commentating on Raw or Smackdown as a permanant commentator. Lawler, JBL, and Cole now are the commentators and JR was commentating on NXT. It is sad to see a guy like JR leave. Although he was better during the Attitude Era days, he was still great.
