Default Why is technical wrestling valued so much higher than powerful wrestling?

Why is it that in the professional wrestling industry that people think technical wrestling is so much better than powerful wrestling?

Like Dean Malenko, Bret Hart, Chris Benoit, etc are considered to be so much better than someone like Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Goldberg, Brock Lesnar etc.

I like both but at the end of the day I am not buying it if Dean Malenko beats Kevin Nash.

Can I just say, everyone knows the nature of pro-wrestling. I know it's fixed but it needs to be believable to be good. I can't stand either WWE or TNA these days because it's just crap. Yes I appreciate guys who actually have skill but you have to think about what is more likely to be real. The illusion of reality is what makes it interesting, you don't watch it thinking ohh this is all fake and still enjoy it. Just as much as when you watch any TV show or movie, you just get sucked in to the story.

As a professional wrestler in training, technical wrestlers are more respected than power wrestlers because technical wrestling it is a lot more difficult to master rather than power moves such as choke slam, attitude adjustment, suplex, ect which can easily be mastered by Backyard wrestlers.

Having lots of muscle & strength doesn't make

you a winner. Have brains and how you use the power that you

possess is what matters.

And managing & controlling those in many special way

as possible is what is technical & more powerful

THATS WHY!

EXAMPLE :

1 - Brotus clay is a big powerful guy

But no tactics or specialty with his fighting /wrestling experience

which is why he is weak.

2 - Kane, he is a big dude with good wrestling tactics, expecially for a guy

his size and able to manage it with a little technical ability or lets just say

agility as we never usually see big guys. And plus he has brains. Now

that's what makes him a dangerous man

Did anyone ever tell you that not everyone has to share your opinion? There are more than 7,000,000,00+ People on this planet and everyone is entitled to their opinion. I happen to like Wrestlers with Amateur Wrestling Backgrounds who know how to apply Wrestling Holds and do Wrestling Moves. If you don't have any technical wrestling knowledge then I'm not impressed with how strong you are.

I would not put Brock Lesnar in the same category as the other people you named because Brock Lesnar was a High School Wrestler and a College Wrestler and Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Bill Goldberg were playing other Sports, they were not Wrestlers. Brock Lesnar can and does apply Wrestling Holds and does Wrestling Moves when he chooses too. Bill Goldberg had a limited skillset, which many Profesional Wrestling Insiders have stated is the reason his matches were kept short. Kevin Nash had the same problem. Scott Hall was a better Wrestler than either Kevin Nash or Bill Goldberg, but he got lazy and 3 Decades of Drug Use and Heavy Drinking hurt his Wrestling Career and what he could have accomplished.

Coz anyone can take steroids and be a brawler, but it takes great skill and hard work to become a good technical wrestler.

Idk, but it makes me laugh how these ignoramuses think that boring submission moves and kicks = real wrestling
