Why isnt the World Heavyweight Title not as important as it used to be?

Seriously I see Alberto Del Rio fight all these lazy fights with the likes of Christian and Sin Cara and their all crappy mid card fights, what happened to the days when Evolution was still around and Triple H had it made seem worth more than the WWE title? The WWE sucks asshole now!

Develop an eye for real talent, kid. Christian is far from "crappy". He is easily upper-card/main event level.

The real problem is that the brass wants to keep the WWE title in the spotlight and Creative is too lazy to split time and resources into giving both belts fully developed storylines. The WHC was more important when it was on Raw because Raw has always been the flagship show. As soon as Smackdown lost star power and became the "B" show, the title followed suit.

Flip the script, push some mid-card talents and put the WHC back on Raw. That about sums up what you want, yeah?

I argee. Once the brand extension ended the World title became the secondary belt. And the other belts thirdary. It would probably be better if they make Smackdown center around that title, where you never see the world champ on Raw and vice versa for the WWE champ. Plus you can do the same for the U.S. only on Raw and the Intercont only on smackdown.

Christian is not crap, Alberto used to be good but not so much now in my opinion and Sin Cara is just awful.

Yes all the WWE focuses on is the WWE championship and making you buy there merchandise and products of iTunes.

Because the world title hasn't main evented or had a really good match since NO WAY OUT 2009. Where as the WWE title has had plenty.

WWE IS CRAP RIGHT NOW, THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE SHOULD BE EXCLUSIVE ON SMACKDOWN ONLY BUT THE PROBLEM IS YOU CAN BRING IT EVEN ON RAW! AND EVEN SMACKDOWN SUPERSTARS COMPETE ALSO ON RAW! I WANT AS IT USSED TO BE BEFORE!

Lazy creative team, it's as simple as that. Christian is not crap, WWE doesn't give him the opportunity's he deserves.

For starters, the World Heavyweight Title was from WCW, the company that WWE had gone head to head with in the '90s during the Monday Night Wars and for a while WCW was killing WWE in ratings. So when WWE finally bought WCW, they took their title, making it their secondary championship. So still higher than IC an US titles but it was obvious that the WWE title took superiority on the flagship show RAW while the World Heavyweight Title was on the "B" show, SmackDown

Now, you have RAW which is 3 hours long, which think many can agree that this is extremely excessive for a weekly program, and being three hours, you need to bring in the SmackDown roster to fill the time slot. So now having the two top titles on the main show, of course the World Heavyweight Title will seem less important if all the focus is on the WWE title and it's competitors.

And one more thing, do your research on wrestlers. Christian is one of the best workers in that company right now.

WWE treats it like a Secondary Championship so WWE Fans treat it like a Secondary Championship. WWE schedules World Heavyweight Title Matches early on the card at every Pay Per View and The WWE Championship Match is always The Last Match or the next to the last match. The WWE Bookign Team scripts The WWE Championship as the most important Championship in Professional Wrestling. The World Heavyweight Title does not get that type of treatment.

the more belts within accompany the clearer the hierarchy of Value for those belts

back in the Day WWE had 3 belts World IC and Tag

-- Hogan had a strangle hold on the World, so it never moved, and combined with Hype-aMania was practically the Holy Grail

-- because the World never moved, the IC Had to have a certain mobility lest everything stagnate what good is paying attention if nothing every changes

-- The Tag Belts mattered because there were still actual Touring tag Teams... guys who were either Family or close as they'd been touring the world for several Years Most Tag teams today are either slapped together by booking because they have nothing better to do or they are assigned to each other in development in either case 'tag Team wrestling' has really just become a place holder until a singles gimmick and angle can be found for one or both of the team members

with the acquisition of WCWs belts and the Brand extension we got the WHC, US and a 2nd Tag belt

-- under the Brand split each show got a set of straps... but post Attitude the WWE and WHC could no longer be stationary... so with the majors titles more mobile the Mid Card belts either get lost ion the shuffle or become 'the town bicycle' and even with the WCW hires the roster was simply 2 thin for 2 Tag divisions

-- once the Brand split fell apart you are left with 4 titles for one Roster... the Mid Card Belts fall even further and the WHC drops in line as a second class citizen to the WWE because the WWE Belt is Vince's baby (and despite the claims to its 'history' and the old school Look the WHC only really dates back to HHH in 2003)
