Default Why do wrestlers do this sequence?

Coming off an Irish Whip, they will bend over, allowing the opponent to (most commonly) kick them in the shoulder/head or for example Goldust to bump and thrust 'em right in the face. I understand it allows for the other wrestler to make a comeback or to the get the crowd excited but is a really obvious thing and doesn't make sense that you'd whip someone, bend over and then casually just wait in that position till they do something. It doesn't add to the 'mystique' of wrestling and (I dont know whether this is just my opinion) It makes the wrestler who is bent over look stupid for allowing it to happen, it can easily be prevented.

Anyone understand what I mean? Or can explain?

I've also noticed that they signal to eachother if it's going to be reversed. The wrestlers doing the whip raised his/her arm before bending over like a lil' bitch and getting kicked

Lol, they do look stupid, but hey did you ever see what they do when they don't get reversed? Backbody drop or moves like that
