Default Why can T In A not compete the way W See W did?

Both companies had huge companies backing them,W See W had Turner and T In A has Panda Energy,both companies are/were full of WWE washouts plus homegrown talent,and both have/had Hulk Hogan. W See W nearly put WWE(F) out of business and T In A can barely draw more than a 1.5 rating. What's wrong?

tna not big engouh

tna is almost getting 2.0 ratings

ratings does not make much difference, its about how good the program is

wwe use to be on spiketv and had good ratings

T In A can't compete the way W See W did because that was then & this is now. The WWE(F) were not as popular back in the good old days when Nitro was on Monday nights competing with raw. So after vince mcmahon bought wcw, that made the company grow. They grew into what they are today. And since Vinny Mac now owns WCW and ect., he and his company are bigger that ever! Even though it is not as good today as it was then, no company will mostly be able to compete with World Wrestling Entertainment.

Panda Energy won't put the kind of money behind the TNA that Ted Turner was willing to do with WCW. WCW was a money losing proposition for Turner up until 1995, but Ted didn't care, he had always had wrestling on TV stations from the beginning, and up to that point WCW never lost a huge amount of money, just having the intellectual property of WCW was worth the couple million it lost every year (remember Turner is a legit billionaire). So WCW for him was basically a tax write off. Panda Energy is also a privately owned company, and like WCW, TNA is simply a money-losing side business, and like WCW TNA's losses aren't really big enough to effect to the bottom line of the parent company. However there are a number of factors that are in play here;

1. WWE hasn't had a real competitor for more than a decade now. And their market share is huge, if not all encompassing. Making any headway would be difficult at best.

2. The economy is still shaky, investing the necessary amount of money it would take to compete with WWE would be a gamble.

3. TNA doesn't have the kind TV exposure it needs to compete currently. Everyone knows who John Cena is, comparatively few people know who Austin Aeries is. And if you're main show only draws a 1.5 rating, then there's probably not enough demand for a second show.
