RVD had an extreme rules match when he cashed in, every other match has just been a singles though so I'm guessing they can't decide now.

Based on the past I believe you do have a right to choose the match only if the match is pre scheduled, if you cash it in and its is unexpected, due to champion being hurt etc... then it is just a single match

Well RVD had his match take place at the Extreme Rules PPV. Meaning every match was Extreme anyways. So it would automatically have a stipulation either way. A.K.A. I don't believe you can pick the stipulation for your match. Although if you schedule it at a certain PPV like TLC you'd probably get the TLC Stipulation. Or lets say you were about to have a falls count anywhere match with the champion, if you cashed it in there you'd have a falls count anywhere match for the title.
