They were still called the Four Horsemen when it was 3 wrestlers plus JJ Dillon so when they had 4 wrestlers plus JJ Dillon it should have been the Five Horsemen

No the only reason they were called the Four Horsemen was Because they used four wrestlers and JJ Dillion was the manager and not a Wrestler

lol I've always thought the same thing. They should've kicked out Ole Anderson ...cranky ol 5uk lol jk

but yea it works either way but it still seems kind of weird when you see a poster of "The 4 Horseman" and it has 5 guys holding up 4 fingers

When The Four Horsemen were formed, it was Ole Anderson, Arn Anderson, Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard and James J. Dillon. 4 Wrestlers + 1 Manager. The idea was that there would always be 4 Wrestlers. Yes, there were times when there were 2 Wrestlers, 3 Wrestlers, 5 Wrestlers or even 6 Wrestlers, but the concept behind the group was that there would be 4 Wrestlers. James J. Dilloon was not considered a Wrestler, he was considered a Manager.
