Sure he killed his wife and son( 7 years old),but he was a great technical wrestler so we can forgive a cold blooded double murder

In my opinion yes, I think it is a crying shame that WWE has written him off like he never existed.

Yes it was a horrible wasteful crime that he committed but the man was a hell of a wrestler

Yes plus I don't even believe he killed his family. I think it was really Kevin Sullivan.

i don't know what he did in his personal life neither do i care. to me, he is one of the greatest technicians of all time. he is one of my favourites. i sometimes miss him in the ring. whenevr someone does a german suplex in the ring i feel like please give chris benoit's signature symbol go to the top & hit the diving headbutt. whenever daniel bryan does a "NO" lock it reminds me of the crippler crossface. his greatest wrestlemania moment is unforgettable. he should be in the hall of fame. i also think that he didn't killed his wife & son but its not the argument, he ranks 10 on my all time greats list.

It does not matter if he won every championship in every promotion ever created. Nothing will make up for Benoit killing his family and himself.

By that logic, you could say the same thing about Adolf Hitler.

"Sure, he killed roughly 14 million people in The Holocaust (about half of whom were Jews), but he was a fantastic speaker and ended economic stagnation in Germany, so we can forgive the worst act of genocide the world has ever known."

Do you hear how crazy that sounds when you say it out loud?

*starts fire*

The WWE has not forgotten how great a wrestler he was despite what he did. But you do understand why Vince does not want his name mentioned right? When you own a million dollar corporation you do not want your name to coincide with someone who did something like that. But yes, I believe so. Have you taken a look at the WWE encyclopedia? He is in there. So they must still cherish the career he had.

absolutely not

and to be perfectly honest, I though all his matches were incredibly boring. Highly over rated in his prime before his tragic event

The whole PG era is because of Benoit.

So no I for one can't see past it

Sure other Wrestlers may have killed themselves or O.D, but no kids die from that.

Does OJ Simpson's career make up for his murdering his wife? No.

Does Roman Polanski's beautiful directing style make up for his pedophilia? No.

Does Phil Spector's career in music as an artist and producer overshadow the murder of Lana Clarkson?

No.

I'm sure John Wayne Gacy was an awesome clown, but that's not what he's going to be remembered for, nor should he.

Skill and celebrity don't negate a human life ruined or taken.
