It was cool!

BQ: Why was the hardcore championship deleted? It was cool, too.

Because Vinny mac is an idiot. It wasnt really deleted though. its just not down to.

Why are you acting like a bonus question from you is a good thing?

In regard to the hardoce title: Vinny Mac ruined it by making it too gimmiky with the 24 hour rule. It became a joke and vinny couldt think of any valid storylines with it anymore.

King of the ring because of low buy rates and hardcore title, well because they had lots of titles at the time

they weren't DELETED they were discontinued... English is a beautiful language... try to get a grip on it

the Return on investment for KotR was minimal

-- several winners didn't pan out... of the 10 PPV era Kings 3 were pretty much busts (Gunn, Shamrock, Mabel/Viscera)

-- and 5 Others were clear fast trackers even w/o the KotR gimmick behind them: looking at the other 7 several had a Rumble win in their future or even past (Ausitin, Bret, HHH, Lesnar and Edge)

-- that Leaves Owen Hart and Kurt Angle as the the only guys seriously 'Helped' by KotR wins (technically Edge's RR win was well after his KotR win... but considering his Pre KotR Push you know he was on the short list for Going to the Top with or without the trophy*

-- then there was the original idea of '3 matches in one night' which kind of worked for Old school guys with different conditioning... but once they had to 'skew' the brackets to protect 500# Mabel (due to DQs/ no contest matches and 'injuries' he worked 2 matches and Savio Vega had 4) they soon switched to only 2 matches on the PPV... and then eventually just the Finals as I recall

-- then when WWE went into the brand split they started with a 12 PPV format: 4 Raw PPVs 4 SD! PPVS and 4 cross brand PPVs... this left KotR out as it was #5 of the Original PPVs that WWE had had before WCW forced the issue with Monthly PPVs... keeping it would have 'demoted' it to a sole brand gimmick... and as evidenced early on in the brand split WWE had a hard time 'dividing property' between the two brands

-- They Could bring it back now with the brand split all but gone... but having 3 kings in the last 10 years (and lets be honest King Booker was annoying King Regal was bad comedy and King Sheamus was so short lived: he won it on TV in December, got the Cape, Crown and extra hair dye the next week and by Mania the next year it was pretty much a memory)

- not to mention with 2 MitB matches (and sort of RR, when not abused to set up the obvious) functioning as the new 'Push Totems' there is no real place to insert KotR again (Rumble is in January, KotR is late June/July) they'd need to move MitB to May or October to space the wins if for no other reason than to avoid '#1 contender pile up... as it stands MitB's 1 year time limit already leaves Too Much room for WWE to over think things... and they tend to be even dumber under a deadline

B. as to Hardcore... It and Every other men's singles Title was Unified into the WWE Championship in 2001/02 in the build up/wake of the Buyout/Invasion... and the 'desired' belts were reactivated the next year

-- the Hardcore title saw some life for a short time during an Edge Push around 2005?... but this was all to set yup WWE's ECW 'revival'... and the Hardcore belt faded away before wwEcw even launched as I recall
