i really don't think so. i definately could be very wrong though because i am just stating my best guess. one of the reasons i think this though is since he was leaving the company anyway their politics wouldn't mean much to him anymore. i also think this for some other reasons too.

1) Read Shawn Michaels' Book

2) Read Bret Harts' Book.

3) Go to Wrestlemanai Axxess on Sunday, April 7, 2013 and ask them in person or draw your own conclusions. It would appear that you either are too young to have known about the crap that Shawn Michaels was doing during that time and how this affected the working relationship between him and Bret. Too bad you didn't go to The Royal Rumble Fan Fest where they discussed The Montreal Screwjob.

No. Bret was exercising the Champion's Prerogative of choosing the event/city at which to lose his championship. That's standard throughout the wrestling business (for World Titles) and throughout wrestling history. Bret didn't want to lose the title in Canada. Vince agreed to make the title switch a few days later when the WWE returned to the U.S. Shawn was going to win the title anyway with a clean win over Bret. Bret agreed to that. Shawn and Triple H played politics and conned Vince into believing them and that's why Bret got screwed in Montreal.

No, he was saying "Get fuck'd you little homo".

Michaels refused to drop the title to Hart and he retired hurt, claiming to have "lost his smile", he stated many times that he wouldn't drop the title to Hart, or even loose to him.

He didn't refuse to put him over, he just didn't want to lose the title in his own country of Canada. The following Raw he was going to lose the title to Shawn Michaels anyway. Both Bret, Vince and Michaels agreed.

However Vince became very worried that Bret would leave the WWF with the championship just like Medusa did with the WWF Women's Championship. Jumping ship to WCW and dumbing the title in the trash can on live TV.
