yesterday was a fantastic match between him and punk. He did a good powerbomb and even a hurricarana. Cena can actually wrestle like he did back in ovw. Why wont wwe allow him to use his wrestling ability than his five moves of doom he see every week?

I think Cena chooses not to have that many moves himself. I don't think that's a WWE restriction. But at the big matches, like last night.. He'll hit a hurricanrana. Or some other unusual move.

The more high-risk moves you perform, the greater the chance you'll get injured. That's exactly why WWE limits EVERYONE'S (not just Cena's) movesets. You don't want a big star getting hurt during a meaningless match on Raw or SD.

Cena usually expands his moveset during PPV matches, though. Last night showed Cena isn't nearly as bad of a wrestler that his critics claim he is.

Because everyone has to be a certain type of wrestler. Brawler, showman, highflyer etc.

Every wrestler has a small moveset now. Just watch a couple normal matches betwene individuals and you'll see what I mean. Back in the day every wrestler had a lot of moves. On TNA 80% of the wrestlers have like 25+ moves. On ROH every wrestler has like 30+ moves. On WWE every wrestler has 5-15 moves TOTAL. Though when you get into a BIG match situation like last night, they might give them a couple more moves.
