Default Why can't people get over the attitude era?

It's getting annoying everytime I'm on a wrestling website people complain on the current state of WWE and how it's not as great as the attitude era. Why can't people just let it go and just stop watching if they hate it so much?

BQ: True or false, people would still complain if WWE would try to revive the attitude era?

The people you are referring to are actually fans who saw a few highlights of that era on YouTube but weren't actually around during the 1990s.Funny how they say bring it "back" as if they saw it the first time.

BQ:TRUE.People will complain despite any change at all.

Because it was the best thing that ever happened to WWE and the pro wrestling industry in general. Think about it, if WWE didn't do the attitude era, then they would have gone bankrupt and you would not see WWE today and its current stars would not be superstars and they would probably be working other jobs as average joes and janes. The attitude era and its top stars paved the way for future stars succeeding the era, those future stars include current stars today. They have jobs because of the attitude era, simple as that.

the attitude era was much more edgy and unpredictable

the battle of two big shows made it more entertaining as they battled for rating

where as now it is at any PPV cena win, wins title, gets injured so he has to drop title, PPV cena win, wins title etc

some of the attitude things made you want more, like when cm punk did his pipe-bomb speach and left with the title that kind of stuff made it entertaining

bq: they might complain, if it was bought back then it would have to be done right else i would be worthless

I feel the same way you do. The truth is WWE can't please everybody. They did the right thing when the attitude era begun & ended. It's what saved the company.

Probably because it?s the era they grew up watching. Much the same way that people who grew up watching wrestling in the 70?s and 80?s wanted that era back when the attitude era was ongoing. Compared to today the era was edgier and a lot more entertaining. Today?s wrestling is a bad throwback to the time frame before the attitude era when wrestlers had absurd, cartoon style gimmicks and the intelligence of fans was frequently insulted.

Because they are assholes.Seriously,I agree with you, these people constantly whine and bitch about the PG Era.

The Attitude Era is Overrated.I know some people haven't even seen the attitude era yet they say attitude era is awesome because they wanna be "cool".

Remember What Paul Heyman said "You People whine about the attitude era but when we give a taste of it(mocking Jerry Lawler's heart attack) you don't like it."

CM Punk is the best in the world!

BQ:True,They will never stop whining and complaining.

Because, it made some things feel sort of scary, so to speak. Like in 2003 when kane took off his mask, he was scary as hell, he started JR on fire, and beat up everyone that was in his way. Also in the attitude era, there were tons of different story lines, not just one like it has been the last 6 or so years, like today, all its been is CM punk and John Cena, its been them two for like 3 years now, its old, people liked it when there were alot of different stories. They also liked it when wrestlers were found backstage all bloody and beaten up by another wrestler. It sort of had a scary, unpredictive feel to it. It was great. Now a days, its just PG and nothng bad ever happens, mainly because there are kids watching it, and its all just fun.

Yep I fed up of it too, its like a daily question now, I don't know why they still watch it if they hate so much, they complain yet they still watch. Hypocrites.

BQ: true, they will then just complain about the current wrestlers are not as good as the old ones. They will always find something to complain about.

Are there really any attitude era fans still watching WWE, most I know don't and barely watch pro-wrestling anymore, they have moved on to other things in their lives!

BQ: True, if WWE tried it, it would be too edgy for today's fans, they whine and complain whenever Cena says something childish, they would really be complaining about how immature DX is, or others from the Attitude Era, well, take a look at the Rock, he came back, people complain about the Rock, say he uses the same catchphrases, say he is immature, and say he should adapt his character to the modern crowd!
