Default Who is the best 'story teller' in the business ever?

I just watched wrestling for a year. I like kurt angle and wanted to know of past wrestlers who are great technicans and story tellers.

My favorite is Dusty Rhodes. He was never a "technician", he was always a brawler, but man could he suck the fans into his storylines and feuds! He's one of the best mic-workers in history and his wrestling matches were always dramatic and full of great storytelling.

There is no doubt Kurt is the best all round wrestler, he can promo heel and face and even promo heel and get a face reaction (look up his promo where he said 'I just plain don't like the black people'), he's a legit fighter with a gold medal to prove it.

There are few wrestlers who can match their promo skills to their in ring skills, but I would put Mick Foley top of the list. No one will ever call Mick Foley a technician (not even Mick Foley) but his promo's lure you in. His promo's are full of such emotion that you buy every word of it, you believe whoever he's going to fight will be in for the fight of their life and believe that Foley will put his own health on the line because its that important that he hurt the guy he's facing and then you see the match and Foley risks his own health to beat another guy and you buy into how important one is to solve another.

Roddy Piper in his prime was the greatest heel around, he was so easy to hate doing things that no one would dare do these days and he had such a simple motive, he liked to fight and he doesn't like you, that simple. Look up his feuds with Bad News Brown and Bret Hart.

A story doesn't always have to be about finesse, it can be about Barbaric Brutality, a love triangle, respect or whatever, WWE is recycling these days.

The best story teller is a guy who can make you believe for a moment that you are not watching a scripted show and that guy is Mick Foley, any man who can make you believe that he is genuinely psychotic and would still be employed by a multi-billion dollar company is a damn good storyteller.
