Default how come a ted turner type guy did not join bischoff and make tna into a big wcw type thing?

huge budget and then buy up a bunch of wwe superstars who would rather wrestle tv-14 for more money ect.

1. The Bubble Burst... no one outside the Business was/is willing to invest in it... The Carters and Panda were a last minute substitution, and for as much as They have, and as little as they spend on TNA it's clearly a Tax shelter

2. You forget that Bischoff himself was looking to Buy WCW at the end, but w/o TV time it didn't pay.. even Flair mentioned in hindsight that had he known it'd sell so cheap He would have gotten investors...

3. You assume that There is a Market for TV 14... TNA draws what 1/3 of what WWE does on TV... and 1/10 the attendance at live shows (that's being generous as 'they GIVE AWAY TICKETS for Impact... it's not a Sporting Event it's a Free Ride at Universal Studios

B: Turner didn't so much "Sell WCW" as he packaged it with his other holdings so that when it Lost Money, he could move money from a Profitable company to Cover the Losses... however as part of the "Turner Inc." that merged/was bought by Time Warner which then Merged with AOL he Lost his ability to protect it

-- I forget the exact statistic, but in the 13 years he owned WCW (1988-2001) it only turned a Profit for a couple years... and that was actually in a period in which they'd started signing Guys to the parent Company so even then it wasn't true profit
