Disagree.

Smackdown was PG during 2000-present as well.

I think the best thing they can do is fire the writers and hire WWE writers from an 2004-2007 viewpoint.

It doesn't matter what rating it is, what matters is the content

The TV rating isn't the problem. "PG" is not nearly as limiting as a lot of people think it is. The problem is the recycled storylines and feuds, the lack of creativity from the crayon-wielders ("writers"), and the generic stock "WWE" characters we've seen a million times who don't seem to interest the fans anymore.

Take a show like The Big Bang Theory. It gets 14-15 million viewers every week without nudity, foul language, sleaze, violence, weapons or blood. It gets that number of viewers because the characters are interesting and not stock "TV" characters, is intelligently written, the situations the characters get themselves into are funny and realistic, and the characters grow and get more fleshed-out as the series progresses.

If WWE TV shows were better written, had real creativity from the *ahem* "creative" department, didn't just recycle the same few storylines over and over, and if they would put some real thought and effort into the characters they put on TV, the number of viewers each week would be much higher.

It's not the TV rating causing the problem, it's the piss-poor "writing" and the recycled generic characters.

Disagree. Its not the rating that matters. There doesn't need to be sex and a crap load of cussing for it to be good. What the wwe needs to do is fire there writers. The story lines are horrible the matches aren't entertaining. They also need to push younger talent like Ted debiase and jack swagger. They don't know how to handle the talent they have. Just need better story lines.

Disagree, there could be many reasons why the WWE is getting bad ratings one could be because of many shows that are on at the time. Monday Night Football or The Voice many other reasons could be because it's the holiday season and usually during the holidays WWE don't do the good in the ratings. So there are many reasons not just the content maybe Vince needs to stop and think about why he's losing in the ratings access that and look at the bigger picture.
