That IS a bit of a puzzle. Wal-Mart used to sell TNA DVDs (I never looked for any other kind of wrestling-related merchandise) but that stopped quite a while ago. Wal-Mart used to sell DVDs of other wrestling companies, too. That stopped, as well.

My guess, knowing the kind of "businessman" Vince McMahon is, is Vince pressured Wal-Mart to stop selling TNA and other wrestling companies' merchandise or Vince would pull WWE merchandise from Wal-Mart altogether. That's how Vince keeps TNA and other wrestling companies from doing shows at arenas the WWE uses. That's how Vince keeps other wrestling companies off TV beyond the local level.

TNA isn't buying shelf space in your area stores

the few places I've actually seen TNA Toys in my area it's typically been less than 1/3 of the space WWE toys occupy and even then Toys R Us is the only one who has had a TNA section for any length of time

I think you should consider that WWE in general probably don't general much sales as it should. In my retail store in California, I have not heard of a customer looking for a WWE merch more importantly, TNA. Look at Bestbuy, if they put WWE dvds usually on sale then TNA dvds would cost almost a buck which is just like paying the tax fee.
