Default ?Questions about N-X-T and defunct Championships??

Instead of a N-X-T Championship, shouldn't WWE,inc revive some of their old titles for that program, like the very first WWE championship, the WWE United States Tag Team titles?

I think N-X-T would be the perfect show for that belt and the WWE United States Championship (Original).

BQ:Should the European and Canadian Championships be revived for Superstars or even Main Event?

BQ2:Should WWE revive the Intercontinental Tag Team Championships so both Raw and S!D can have a tag title?

BQ3:For programs outside of North America, should WWE revive the International and International tag team championships?

I haven't watched NXT since that godawful "Divas" season so I don't know much about the show and how it's structured these days. Does it still resemble a game show? Or is it more like a farm system to develop potential TV performers for RAW/SD?

Your question gave me an idea. If they are still doing "seasons" (with a definite beginning and end to each season) then how about taking a few of the old defunct championships (how many depends on the size of the roster; can't have everybody holding a title) and having mini-tournaments in the early part of the season to determine each champion. Throughout the season, of course, feuds and rivalries develop. Not sure if NXT has their own equivalent of PPVs (Big Shows) but if they do that's where the champions defend their titles (if they don't have "PPVs" then they could have a "Championship Tuesday" {or whatever day NXT is aired} once a month to defend championships). This leads up to the final NXT of the season (NXT's "Wrestlemania") in which they have a unification match between all champions to determine that season's "NXT Champion". The Champ CAN retain the title to carry over to the next season in which case the winner of next season's NXT (doing the mini-tournaments and unification match) gets the title match at the final NXT. Or they can vacate the championship and start over with the new roster and assuming the "NXT Champ" gets "promoted" to RAW/SD for winning the season.

The WWE IS trying to establish NXT as it's own "brand" so they do need to keep the NXT Championship as it's top title. But they can sure use old defunct titles as "stepping stones" to get to the NXT Championship.

For the Tag Titles they can use the old U.S. Tag Team Titles. They couldn't do the tournament/unification thing here. Too many teams would need to be made and there isn't enough time with only a one-hour show each week to do this thing right. Establish Champs then have them defending the titles throughout the season works well enough.

BQ: Yeah. That would give Superstars and Main Event a sense of...legitimacy, of being their own shows, rather than just places to put matches that didn't fit into RAW/SD, or just "B" shows on other channels just to have WWE shows there.

BQ2: For the past several years the "tag team division" in the WWE has consisted of new guys trying to make names for themselves and big stars shoved together to be the current resident "dysfunctional team". When was the last time the WWE had a real Tag Team that was successful and long-lasting? Having tag team titles on both shows MIGHT go a long way in fixing that problem. Two titles is a pretty good incentive for wanting to BE a tag team wrestler.

BQ3: Would these be defended only outside the U.S.? That COULD work. Have a European Championship (and Champ) for when the WWE is in Europe; an Asian Championship for when the WWE is in Asia. They have a U.S. Title; that could only be defended in North America. Like the regional championships of old. Perhaps even give a non-WWE European wrestler a shot at the European title, a non-WWE Asian wrestler a shot at the Asian title (might find some great new WWE stars that way). I think this would give the WWE a more "global" feel than just a big American company taking it's show around the world.
