Default thinking about quitting wrestling!?

so guys i have been wrestling ever since off season of spring when i was a junior and ever since then i have been wrestling, even when to a 2 week intensive iowa training camp. Now im a senior and have been wrestling in season for a while and yesterday in one of my matches coach bumped me up to 182 when i weigh 160 and the guy lifted me and slammed me on my head and i lost conscious for a good 5 minutes. When i woke up i was in the trainers room and coach was all mad at me. I am just getting sick, tired, and bored of wrestling. My mom is forcing me to quit because she is tired of me getting injuries and is worried if i get a permanent injury i wont be able to enlist in the military. The problem is that im supposed to be one of the best, if not best wrestler of the team and im also a senior. If i were to quit alot of the guys would be disappointed in me, especially the coaches. My heart is just not in it no more and getting this concussion was the last straw for my mom because she never supported wrestling. I want to obey my mom because shit happens when i don't but then there is that guilt that i will feel if i quit. What is you guys take on this?

sounds like your coach is a dick. he should be more worried about a law suit than you losing to a larger opponet. He doesn't care about you, so why are you so worried about what he thinks? LIfe is hard enough without going thru it with some long term injury you got cause coach wanted a ring. taking parents advice is usually the best thing.

Have your mom speak to the coach and she will probably cuss at him and threaten him w/ legal action. You HAVE to look after your health. You should not feel guilty because of that.
