I think he was good, but never great. I think people overrate him as a WRESTLER,because of the respect he has, and he is a likeable guy. He was one of those few wrestlers that everyone has nothing, but good things to say about him. He was good, but not ASTONISHING. His technical skills were, above average... he was a great brawler though, bare none. One of the best the WWE has had, because he was agressive and his punches looks forceful, and believable.Been a good wrestlers, is not just about having flawless technical skills(This is Pro Wrestling and there are more attributes). I have seen his work in WCW, and he could hang on the mat. He could not match Dean Malenko,Eddie Guerrero,Bret Hart,Owen Hart, hold for hold. He was not an extarordinary athlete like the cruiserweights, and could not equal there speed, aerial, and how swift they could counter and execute when there at the top of there game. Technique is harder to learn, than throwing punching, but its also how good you are at your game.

Wrestling is not all about who has the prettiest, coolest moves and, maybe even most moves. Its about timing- doing the moves for a purpose and doing them at the right moment(and having little waste in motion). Stone Cold did that. He could put on exciting matches even if he didn't have an super large amount of moves. He had a high workrate in the ring too and thats the most important. His matches with Kurt Angle,Shawn Micheals and his Wrestlemania match,is arguably a classic. Undertaker is another gem,who is not technical. He recently upped his game, but never was a technical wrestler. He was a butt kicker and with his intensity and psychology; his matches are some of the best. People have there own opinions though. I think his skills are overrated, but still good. There are technical wrestlers that cannot brawl, like Dean Malenko. Everybody has different styles, different startegies and its an opinion.Stone Cold could mat wrestle though.
