Austin and HBK are retired. Taker wrestles once a year at WrestleMania. The Rock shows up occasionally, whenever Vince can afford to pay for an appearance. Triple H is most likely hanging up his boots after his loss to Brock Lesnar at this year's SummerSlam. Out of the really big names from back in the day, Kane is the only one still wrestling regularly with WWE, along with Chris Jericho, although he comes and goes, considering he has to tour with his band, Fozzy. Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam do a bit of work with TNA, but they aren't involved with WWE anymore.

WWE Champ = CM Punk

World Heavyweight Champ = Sheamus

Intercontinental Champ = The Miz

Tag Team Champs = Kane and Daniel Bryan

US Champ = Antonio Cesaro

Apologies if I got any of the title holders wrong. I haven't had the chance to watch for the last few weeks due to work.

If you're considering getting back into wrestling, I wouldn't bother. It's nowhere near the standard it was at in the glory days when Austin raised hell and The Rock electrified the crowd. It's tame in comparison. There are some great technical wrestlers like CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler but they can't compare to Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle when it comes to putting on a spectacle in the ring.

okay let me put it this way, a friend of mine didn't watch any wrestling since WM and decided to watch RAW this week and she had no clue who anyone was.

So in short there's gonna be a bunch of new people you've never heard of.

Austin and HBK retired from wrestling and make sparse appearances on the show occasionally, Taker comes out for WM to continue his streak.

Other people you might know:

..The Rock comes out every now and again to bitch about Cena

..Cena is still pretty much the top face though he gets loads of heat from older male fans and has no title

..Orton is still on top but has no title or anything.

..Chris Jericho was here in the beginning of the year but is currently touring with his band Fozzy

..Christian is out injured

..Mysterio is out sick

..Triple H has moved over more to the corporate side and isn't on tv often

..Jerry Lawler had a heart attack in the middle of September but was otherwise a commentator

..JBL recently returned and is also commentating

People that you might know who have left: Ric Flair (TNA), Edge (retired from wrestling), Jeff Hardy (TNA), Matt Hardy (Indies), Batista (MMA), Trish, Lita, Michelle McCool, Maria and many other divas you may have known are most likely gone.

Champions (you may not know most of the people on this list)

* WWE: CM Punk

* World Heavyweight: Sheamus

* Divas: Eve Torres (not that it matters though since the Divas division has gone to shit)

* Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston

* US Champ: Antonio Cesaro

* Tag Team Champions: Team Hell No. (Daniel Bryan and Kane)

so yeah...it's changed. It's PG 13 now so it's toned down a bit. but once a wrestling fan always a wrestling fan so I feel like you could back into it if you wanted.
