No, they only put him in then because he died. If Eddie Guerrero was still alive today, he would not be in the hall of fame yet.

wellllll no. i think he should have been inducted years later. when they inducted eddie in 2006 it was more like a sympathy vote. the induction felt like oh my god he's dead than he was a great and deserving wrestler.

Yes, he wouldn't be in there just yet if he hadn't died but his death meant his career was over so time to honor it. Eddie was a great wrestler with great matches so that alone would have qualified him, but also he did a lot for mexicans in the WWE with how far he got and he brought a new style to the WWE and helped to popularise it.
