Well from reading 6 different wrestler's book I can say that most matches have a few important parts planned and the rest is improvised,on the spot

The start and finish, as well as some parts in between are planned, but most of the match is improvised.

The truth is, Before the match, the match booker (Not to be confused with Booker -T) Let's the Superstars know who is going to win and how. Then the superstars put in thier thoughts with one another of what moves will be included in the match, Then during thier match comes the improv... You can see Hogan telling The Rock...I'm going to throw you in, Let's finish this duyring thier Wrestlemania Match....During one of the Royal Rumpbles (Shawn Miachaels takes it, and its the first Rumble Match of The Ring Master Steve Austin) You can see Nash on the ropes then HHH nudging a superstar and then giving a nod the Nash before Nash takes him out of the Rumble....(Which shows thier comounication and .... shows how the Kilq only elimintaed eachother).

Also, The Referee, Announcers and sometimes even the effen camera men are used as messengers to tell each other what to do. We all remember when Kurt Angle's dumba$$ told the ref to tell Benoit to counter his angle slam... Im sure that cameraman was fired. LOL

Aaaaand, House shows and/or Dark matches are used for that very reason...They practice there match ups and even test out crowd reactions...then save the spots they like and use it during televised events.

Again long story short...You're right on both counts... The basics of the match is planned...and yet they go with flow While wrestling.

In wrestling, it basically goes like this. Booker tells them who wins or loses and the finish. The wrestlers get together to pick spots, or moments that will be huge, like weapons shots, top rope moves, etc. Then in the ring, they improvise and discuss small moves and send signals to each other. Example of this includes submissions moves like Randy Orton's headlock, and stomps. And then here is the big point for every single user that hates a wrestler for their limited moveset. Duh!!! Its suppose to be like that. If every wrestler had like 100 moves, it would end up in confusion. Cena has like 20 moves and will use the 5 moves of doom BECAUSE everyone knows it. I mean, look at HHH. Everytime he goes for the jawbreaker from the knee, its a reverse irish whip and the opponent bends down to take the hit. In real life, you'd have to be stupid enough to fall for that over and over, but its done because it eventually becomes like a reflex. You do it. People aways wonder, why is WWE sending good wrestlers like Don Caras Jr. Brian Danielson, and Mistico to development first to learn how to wrestle despite the fact they can? Its to make sure they can organize a move list, learn how WWE wrestlers wrestle and send signals in the ring, and to make sure they can do their signatures over and over. So bascially, its planned for the time limit as well as the finish, then the wrestler get together to come up with spots, and they improvise the small stuff, like running around in the right, flips, counters, etc, and then normally, wrestlers go into signature moves mode, which everyone is familiar with and can do it easily without much planning. So its improvised, and then, really, just doing it over and over with a different finish.

Yeah each move is planned. Its important, so that the wreslers are not caught offguard, or dey can get injury. The refree, and the wreslers all of them read the script and disscuss everything beforehand. That is why it all appears to go with the flow.
