...Heavyweight Championship? I know he won the WWE Championship. But then he went to Smackdown, and he was on there for a long time. And he didn't win until 2007.

Sorry 17 years to win his First RR.

The WHC wasn't available until late 2002. I don't know where you're getting this 17 years from.

Edit: The way it ended up, it was just never the right time for the Undertaker to win the Royal Rumble. If you look back at the history of the RR, there really wasn't a time that UT should have replaced the winner of the RR especially during the Attitude era. It just made the moment even more special when Taker won the Royal Rumble for the first time.

Who cares if it took 17 years to win Royal Rumble, look at his other accomplishments.

Well, the fact is it doesn't matter. Even if he took him 17 years to win the Royal Rumble, he is still the Phenom we all know now. Look at his other accomplishments. Even if he is delayed to accomplish something extraordinary, we still admire the service he gave to the WWE and that is how he is still in this wrestling business today.

Ya because the World Heavyweight Title was the WCW World Heavyweight Title until 2001. He had been a multi-time WWF/E World Champion. The WWE is a World Heavyweight Title but they don't say that because they have to make the 2 belts different.

I was thinking about this a few days ago. It really is not right. The Undertaker is one of my favorite wrestlers and should have won a Royal Rumble before then.

Let's face it, The Undertaker is already a main eventer from the day he debuted. He won WWE Title just 1 year after his debut.

Royal Rumble's used as a tool to get a rising star to main event status, so they can look strong before headlining WM. The Undertaker has been a main eventer for a long time, he doesn't need a Royal Rumble win to go into Wrestlemania. While, John Cena, Edge, Triple H, etc are also established stars/main eventer, but they still win Royal Rumble, well you can argue about that.

But, the real reason is The Undertaker is undefeated at WM. His matches at WM are rarely about World Title matches, only 3 out of 19. Therefore, he doesn't need to win Royal Rumble, since he's usually involved in a non title storyline, where the storylines mostly focus on wrsetlers challenge The Streak.

Not really because Undertaker was already a legend, he didn't need world title reigns because he could just put the younger talent over in 1 on 1 competition. If he did hold the world title it would look like he's hogging the spotlight and hogging it for the younger talent who deserve a shot more than Undertaker. It isn't stupid but it was long overdue for him to win the Royal Rumble.
