Default How is The Rock considered a legend! +BQ?

He only wrestled in the WWE full time for 7 years! Then he started making special appearances and those weren't even often. A couple of months ago he said he was back but where is he now? A legend is someone who is devoted to the business for 10+ years. You guys may hate him but John Cena is shaping up to be more of a legend than The Rock.. hell even Randy Orton has been more loyal to company than The Rock and I absolutely hate Orton. Its the truth, like it or not.

BQ: Which 3 Jobbers and 3 Mid-Carders have the most potential?

Keep the 7 years in mind!

Umm when he first started, he kinda sucked

Only 2 good answers hard to choose

The Rock gave WWE all he had. He arguably got more reactions from the fans, then any other superstar in WWE History.

He was the FACE of WWE and will always be remembered.

Who cares how long he lasted in the company, all that matters is if he made an impact or not... And to answer your question, he is a legend because he revolutionized the company. John Cena will be considered a legend, but nobody ever got bored of The Rock while he was there. Loyalty or not, wouldn't you take up on a Hollywood offer if it meant big bucks? Look out of the picture before you start accusing The Rock of disloyalty.

Well The Rock has done it all in a very short time 9 time world heavyweight champion 2 Intercontinental champion 5 tag team champion, Sixth Triple Crown Champion, Royal Rumble winner headlined wrestlemania on several different occasions and even defeated one of the greatest legends of all time Hulk Hogan. After all that there really wasn't nothing left for him to accomplish. He conquered wwf faster then anybody. I agree he should have made more appearances after his retirement. The Rock is a legend in his own era but he is not a legend in the wrestling industry. He at least deserves credit for all he's done when he was active because he was always great to watch inside and outside the ring. Also when he said he was back for good he didn't mean he was going to show up every week he meant he was going to show up alot more then he has in the last several years. The Rock is suppose to return around survivor series.

To me, a legend is someone like Sgt. Slaughter, Ric Flair, AA, The King...you get my drift. IMO a legend is someone who devotes their life to the business...either behind the scenes or in front of the cameras. And I don't mean movie cameras.

I don't consider The Rock a legend by any means.

I DON'T CARE! I don't demand wrestlers be 100% devoted to it and nothing else their entire goddamn life! They are allowed to have lives beyond it!

I mean, if you're someone who's on the road 300 days a year, risking his health every time he goes to work, knowing you could be fired at any time, AND only making 6 figures doing it, are you going to say no when someone offers you a few million for a stable job in a fixed location with an easier schedule and significantly fewer health risks?

you compare rock and cena.cena made to stardom when everybody left wwe(angle, lesnar, etc) on the other hand rock made to stardom in the midst of stonecold,dx,the ministry,kane.... When he was shoved down throats as rocky maivia, he knew people hated him and changed his gimmick,he can become an heel or face in 2 mins(check out his return to wwe , in canada ),he can trash talk better than anyone which alone makes him a legend

The Rock is an legend. Your definition of legend makes no sense. John Morrison has been in the business for almost 10 years. By your logic, hes close to being a legend. Its about the impact. Rock made a huge impact for obvious reasons. Hes not one of the all time best for no reason.Thats all there is to it. Vince would tell you. Austin would tell you. Orton would and so would Cena, Come on now. Saying Rock isn't a legend is extremely ignorant.
