Hmmm I'm gonna say by the time the year changes over to 1010, Shelton Benjamin will be the top dog with all the accolades, the superstar with long title reigns, and overall the best that the company has.

Of course, it could also be someone like Orton, Batista, Cena, Dupree, etc

The Rock.

he is the icon of the 2000's, he's Mr. hollywood, he is the new age wrestler (agile but strong), and he has Hall of Fame credentials. The Rock defines this postmodern era if you could get away with saying that Austin defined the 90's and not Bret & Shawn.

I think Breat and Shawn played an absolute Huge Role in the 90's...There is no doubt..But From 96 to around now...It was Austin's...Alright..so thats not a full decade...But..I agree..from around 92-96...it Was Bret and Shawns..

HHH will not be the wrestler of this decade.....

sadly, I'm beginning to think that the wrestler of this decade for the WWE will be someone like Orton.....he has the background, the overall appearance......however, his in-ring work isn't quite up to par.....

in the end, we may look back at Orton and consider him to be the next Randy Savage though.....and that wouldn't be such a bad thing.....

It wont be The Rock. He may be Mr. Hollywood, but you cant be a wrestler of the decade when all your doing anymore is making movies.

I think it will be ether Orton of Benjamin. It might even be Benoit, even though he's old.

i think the wrestler that personifies the current era is triple hhh.

ust like wwe as a whole, hhh has a solid set of attributes, the look, the ring skills, the promos, and the heat, just like wwe hasa solid roster of atletes.

but neithe has anything that really gets you excited.

Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior owned the 80's.....90's were all Austin and The Rock.

The next person i see personifying this era is Shelton Benjamin......he is amazing in the ring and i believe he can get the crowd going.

The current decade belongs to Triple H.

Not because anyone likes him necessarily, but because everyone talks about him. You may not like the guy but his matches are generally pretty good, and he plays a major role week in and week out. Evolution has dominated Raw for a while now, and depending on how long that continues and how they end it when they do (Tho I don't think they ever have to..just rotate out the roster, it is called Evolution after all)

The only real competition he has right now is Orton. Orton continues to get better and better, the company is showing a great deal of faith in him by pushing him consistantly to bigger and better things. His run with the Heavyweight title is not far off, and depending on how he handles that, IMO will determine if he takes the "wrestler of the decade" title from HHH.
