Default Poll: Do you think Total Nonstop Action Wrestling will be a company by the year 2021?

Will they ever be as big as WCW and will they last longer than WCW did (1982-2001)?

If TNA last to 2021 this will be longer than WCW.

I know we can't predict this but looking at the future of the company, can you see a future for TNA after guys like Sting, Flair, Hogan, Hardy, Anderson, Bischoff, Angle RVD retire?

@championjdg

In 5 years time, when those guys I have said will be retired, Beer Money will both be pushing 40 so they'll be nearly retired. Christopher Daniels I think will be early retired because of the injuries he's had.

Abyss is 37 now, he'll be retired by 43/44 at the maximum. The only one that is really viable to be the huge star is AJ Styles and one man can not save a company, even with WWE its about 50/50 with Cena Orton.

On your question of the future of WWE I believe that WWE have great future wrestlers in

Dolph Ziggler

John Morrison

The Miz

Sheamus

Wade Barrett

Justin Gabriel

Daniel Bryan

CM Punk (5-7 Years or the next WrestleMania from Chicago)

Alberto Del Rio (5-7 Years or if WWE ever do a WrestleMania from Mexico)

Alex Riley

Sin Cara

Christian (5-7 Years or the next Canadian WrestleMania)

Cody Rhodes

Ted DiBiase

The WWE have a TONNE of star potential compared to TNA, the fact that TNA has less than half a dozen stars that could be main eventer's in 5 years shows the

Not gonna happen. TNA will go bankrupt before 2013 because their running down on merchandise sales and TV ratings. Even before 2021, some of the wrestlers will even join WWE and even winning championships.

NO! They'll be lucky if they make it the rest of the year. They had a 1.07 rating last week.

The WWE can trace their beginning back to 1963, which is why most people call the WWE a 50-year-old company.

WCW can trace their beginning back to 1944, so they actually lasted 56 years.

But yeah, as long as there are people who want more than just the WWE TNA will survive. As long as there are wrestlers who don't like the WWE's way of doing things TNA will survive. They've grown and survived for 9 years which is longer than most wrestling promotions last. They've got a good TV deal in prime time, and PPVs every month. They may never get to the WWE's level of size and success but they don't need to.

The difference between TNA and WCW is TNA isn't trying to put the WWE out of business like WCW did when Bischoff and Hogan were in charge. TNA isn't openly attacking the WWE nor are they trying to sabotage anything the WWE does (like WCW did when Bischoff and Hogan were in charge).

In the 80's and 90's Vince McMahon deliberately attacked every promotion in North America to put them all out of business. WCW was the only promotion he couldn't defeat. The WWF was larger but he still couldn't put WCW out of business. Bischoff and Hogan went to WCW with the intention of taking on the WWF head-to-head to put them out of business (they almost succeeded, too). But VINCE was in charge of the WWF and didn't have to answer to anybody; HE controlled the money. In WCW, there was a giant corporation that owned WCW but nobody in that corporation knew how to run a big-time wrestling company, so Bischoff and Hogan spent the corporation's money like it grew on trees with no accountability for a few years. When the corporation (AOL Time Warner) finally checked up on WCW they saw a company losing a lot of money so they canceled the TV shows and put the company up for sale.

TNA isn't doing that. Sure, they'd love to overtake the WWE and be the number one promotion, but Bischoff and Hogan learned their lesson from the mistakes they made with WCW. What TNA is doing is providing an alternative to the WWE by offering a different type of TV wrestling show than what the WWE offers. It's like as if you opened up a burger joint to give people a different type of hamburger knowing you'll never beat McDonald's. You're not out to change the world, you just want to give people another choice.

And, very important, Vince isn't trying to put TNA out of business. Triple H and Stephanie won't, either. They know they need TNA to be where it's at, to provide some competition to keep their own performers motivated to out-do TNA.

Yeah, I think TNA will be around by 2021 and beyond. The wrestling business AND the WWE need it to survive.

TNA gets new performers the same way the WWE does...from the indys and promotions in other countries. TNA won't die after Beer Money, Abyss, and AJ Styles are retired. There is a never-ending supply of new wrestlers out there waiting for the WWE or TNA to hire them.
