Default Michael Shane Interview

The following is from : WrestleZoneRadio.com

The following are highlights from an interview with former NWA-TNA X-Champion Michael Shane, from the February 10th edition of WrestleZone Radio with Matt Boone and Ryan Clark.

Michael discussed the current Independant wrestling scene. He said he's worked pretty much everywhere, and with almost everyone, and the Indy scene is doing great right now. He noted Christopher Daniels and Jerry Lynn as guys he liked working with, even going as far as to say Daniels is incredibly smooth and should be on the big stage.

Michael Shane talked about his current run in NWA-TNA, with the stable gimmick with Shane Douglas, which he said he's loving. He said Douglas is as nice as anyone, and always has good information for him. He also talked about the classic Ultimate X matches in TNA, and winning the X-Division title as one of the highlights of his career.

The subject of being the cousin of Shawn Michaels, and trained by HBK to wrestle was brought up, to which Michael said is great, and obviously a big reason why he wanted in the business. When asked if he was treated differently in training than others due to being a relative of Michaels, Shane said he thinks so, he thinks he was pushed a bit harder to make it known he wasn't being shown any favortism.

A question was brought up from a fan who said he'd like to see the classic Shawn Michaels/Bret Hart story re-told by the relatives, Teddy Hart for Hitman, and Michael Shane for HBK. Michael said he liked the idea, and said it's definitely a good money program.

The topic then switched to the recent news of the closing of Florida-based Major League Wrestling (MLW) to which Michael Shane laughed pretty hard at. Shane brought up some tension he had with Court Bauer, among others in the office at MLW, and told a pretty good story about his sour dealings with the company. Definitely wasn't holding anything back.
