Default World 1 results night III

credit the insider

Steve Corino came out to welcome the crowd and thank everyone for coming out

Match #1 - Jason The Legend (UFO) d. Maverick Wilde (NECW) with a powerbomb - good match for the opener, Maverick seemed really mismatched with Legend however.

Match #2 - The Mighty Mini & Blade d. Mike Paivia & Andre Lyons - don't remember the finish to this match, but it was a decent match.

Match #3 - Dylan Kage d. Vince Vicallo - also don't remember the finish to this match, Kage looked really good in there tonight, but his manager does nothing for him

Match #4 - "Slyk" Wagner Brown (w/April Hunter) d. Luis Ortiz - Wagner won with the Haterbreaker, during the match Ortiz gave Wagner a SICK looking powerbomb into the turnbuckles. these two have always worked well together, and tonight was no exception.

A video promoting the main show was played and the main show was underway

Match #5 - CM Punk & Homicide fought to a time limit draw - Myself and a few other fans threw streamers in the ring at Punk and he seemed to get quite upset, this match was very good for the opener.

Match #6 - The Solution & Guilotine LeGrande d. Greg Spitz, Ricky Landell, & Alex Law - Probably the worst match of the night, mainly because the World-1 guys are not 100% ready yet, and The Solution & LeGrande are not the best in the world (but better than me, so what am I saying).

Match #7 - Rapid Fire Maldinado d. Mega - It's odd, Mega got over with the crowd because he was "fat", quite odd I say, anyhow Maldinado won when he gave Mega a roll up and the referee made a fast count on Mega, much to the displeasure of the crowd

Match #8 - The Christopher Street Connection d. Jack Victory & Dr. Heresy - The CSC were quite easily the most over workers on the show, this match was more of a comedy match if anything else, with the CSC goofing around with Heresy & Victory as well as the fans.

Match #9 - Steve Corino & Jerry Lynn d. John Walters & Spanky - AWESOME match, Spanky got a very good reaction from the crowd, including a lot of "Welcome Home" chants. the only problem with the match is Spanky did not get a chance to hit all his signature moves. Walters did very good in there with the bigger names. Lynn got the pinfall on Walters to end the match

20:00 intermission

Match #11 - Josh Daniels d. Matt Stryker (nee Martel, the MLW one) - good match, but the crowd was not into it because of the intermission and the sort.

At this point Steve Corino, Spanky, and CM Punk all came out to the ring along with the Wrestling Spotlight crew and they brought out Christopher James (the 4 year old with cancer who this show was a benifit for) and his family, and they spoke about therr situation, and how they were so thankful for Corino & Zero-ONE for helping raise so much money for their cause. they then played a tribute video for Christopher James.

Match #12 - Masato Tanaka & Yoshihito Sasaki d. The Extreme Horsemen -This match was awesome, me and a bunch of other fans threw a ton of streamers into the ring at Tanaka before the match. Tanaka hit all his signature spots on Diamond to a big pop, and he won with the Roaring Elbow on Diamond while Sasaki attemped his DVD into a DDT on Anderson, all 4 men shook hands after the match

Match #13 - Low-Ki d. Justin Credible to win the PWF International Title -This match was STIFF as sin, Low-Ki just beat the holy high crap out of Credible, lots of near falls in the match, Low-Ki won when he reversed Credible's "Thats Incredible" Tombstone into a Dragon Clutch for the submission win.

It was a very good show, Sumie Sakai & Ace Steele were in the building, but did not wrestle. all the wrestlers were very accessable tonight, and the show was for a very good cause! Total credit goes out to Steve Corino & The Zero-One/World-One crew for putting on a night a lot of people will never forget.
See Corino can book as well as wrestle! Low Ki vs Credible i'd love to have seen, as well as punk vs homicide. I think this was a total class act on corinos part, as well as the company for the fund raiser to this little kid with cancer, talk about a class act on Steves part all the way.
