HHH and HBK both faced Undertaker twice at WM who do you think put up the better matches?

HBK versed Taker at WM 25 and 26

HHH did at WM 17 and 27

Who do you think came more close also?

HBK can dance with a broom and make it the match of the year. Triple H can hold his own, but no where near Shawn. I gotta go with HBK. Triple H and Taker this year wasn't all that. WM17 was a good one, but not as good as either one with Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels by far.

Triple H's match with The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 17 wasn't that great to be honest. The one from this year was really good though. But it still fails in comparison to Taker's and Shawn's matches.

Although both were insanely good matches it's closing in to a joke to compare the two. HBK and Taker had two wrestling clinics, Undertaker and HHH had a very Attitude Era appropriate match with variety of moves, the second - an exciting spotfest that was still worthy of closing the show.

HBK and Undertaker 1 was far greater than ANY WrestleMania match in history, conversely it has a few candidates for Best Match (such as Hart/HBK - Iron Man).

HBK came more close; at WrestleMania XXV, after Taker dived outside the ring and landed on his neck, Undertaker was outside for a 9 count and the referee's arms were fully extended upwards, meaning that a quick motion would've called for 10 and victory to HBK. HHH attack HEAPS, but he wasn't as close to winning in a pinfall as HBK was to that moment.

I'd say Shawn Michaels put on better matches, both of the times. Wrestlemania 25 was phenomenal. It was a pure wrestling match, with some amazing spots, reversals, etc. Wrestlemania 26 was a phenomenal match as well, but the chemistry of it was totally different. At the time, WWE phased out all of the Undertaker's other accolades, to get us to focus on his main one, his Wrestlemania streak. This specific match symbolized everything The Undertaker lived for, versus the storied career of Shawn Michaels. The feud was built on amazingly too. Both of the competitors had so much respect for one another, yet they were still trying to rob one another of everything.

Triple H versus the Undertaker was very good both times too. I think HHH vs Taker at this years past WM was a better match than WM 17, mainly because this time around both of these men were extremely experienced competitors, and veterans of the business. Wrestlemania 17 was focused much more around the feud, where as this WM was centered around the match itself. While both HBK vs Taker, and HHH vs Taker, were great matches, I believe HBK vs Taker was the better out of the two. WM 26 was the most intense out of both Taker's matches at WM 17,25,26, and 27. Mainly because you didn't want Taker's streak to end, but on the other hand you didn't want HBK to get retired. Fans were between a rock and a hard place, which wasn't the case for WM 27. This was because HHH didn't have a single thing to lose. His credibility in the business has been strengthened beyond believe, due to his amazing matches, feuds, and over all work in the company. Undertaker on the other hand, hand the streak that he could lose.

I think Triple H came closer, by far. This was mainly because of the opposing mind sets between Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Shawn Michaels was much more focused on not losing the match to keep his career alive, where Triple H had one thing on his mind. One thing only. Ending the streak. At the very few last moments of WM 26, when Shawn Michaels dragged his live-less body up to the Undertaker, and gave him a slap in the face, you immediately knew that it was over. But WM 27, was totally different. When you saw Triple H tombstone Taker, all fans thought that HHH would get the pin, and it would be over. Also, towards the end of the match, when he saw Taker lock in Hell's Gate on Triple H, and The Game had his sledge hammer ready in hand, we honestly didn't know what would happen. And for these reasons alone, I believe HHH came much closer.
