How would they maintain their legacy after retiring? Do you think a wrestler's legacy can be tarnished if they continue to wrestle skilfully? What about if they continue to wrestle, but poorly?

Think Undertaker will be the only one who will maintain his legacy after retiring beacuse of his Amazing WM Streak

The best way to retire is by putting over a new talent(not an established one)

Undertaker is a great wrestler..He has an awsome streak i dont want to end that

But i want him to Job to a new talent the day before he leaves because it's giving the company ur respect....Someone like Sin Cara,Alberto Del Rio,Cm Punk, etc

There are a lot way of maintaining a legacy:

- Retire when you're not far past your prime. In my opinion, HBK has just past his prime when he retired. This is the best period to retire rather than retiring in such a young age like The Rock or continue to wrestle when you're not physically able to like Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair.

- Pass the torch to young talent/put over biggest rival in your last match. This is GIVING BACK TO BUSINESS. It's a tradition for great wrestlers to lose their last match to put over young talent.

For example : HBK put over his biggest rival The Undertaker in his last match at WM 26, Stone Cold put over his biggest rival The Rock in his last match at WM 19. And back then Mick Foley put over Triple H, the young talent at that time at No Way Out 2000 in what was suppossed to be his last match.

- Just retire after what suppossed to be your last match. Don't ever lie to the fans, when you say you'll retire and the fans have cried for your retirement, don't ever lie to them.

- WWE Hall Of Fame Induction. After being inducted into WWE Hall Of Fame, you will be Immortal and remembered by the Fans forever.

- Never disappoint your loyal Fans. Always be nice to them, and never do horrible things that will make Fans lose respect to you. Fans will forever lose respect to you if you do negative things such as killing your family like Benoit does.

Just stay away, I know that might be hard for them but it's the only way their legacy won't be tarnished. If they continue to wrestle but can't really go anymore people will remember that rather than their past.
