In your opinion, what is the main reason why WWE won't book Cena vs Undertaker at Mania?

Are they saving it till next year? Because a lot can happen between now and then. I'd be surprised if Taker wrestles at next years Mania.

Nothing against HHH and Undertaker, but we've seen it before.

Cena is the only guy in WWE right now who would pose an actual threat at ending the streak, like it or not. People can say HBK had the best chance, but the guy is 6-11 at Mania and fyi, Cena already beat him. Cena also beat HHH. So I just can't see why WWE won't book Cena vs Taker.

I think buyrates would skyrocket if that happened. Some of you may not like Cena, but right now, that's the only match up that would unpredictable I guess you could say. Cena may not be the best wrestler, but he almost always puts on quality matches in crunch time, and wrestling Taker will only help.

Your thoughts?

People fear that Cena will indeed end the streak. Imo no matter how low wwe has ever sunk, they will never do something so foolish. They'd have Cena put up a good fight but he would lose. I think Vince thinks that will hurt Cena's credibility though. His mania record is 6-1. Plus the match he lost was a triple threat (hhh and orton) so he didn't lose one on one. Putting Cena in a match that he obviously won't win would hurt his rep, or so vince thinks. I think it would boost his rep. It would cause more people (cena haterz and attitude marks) to repsect him.

cause WWE wouldn't want Cena to turn heel...and if he face Taker than a lot of people would be siding with him...wouldn't that make him a heel if the crowd are going against him?

Because they might actually be foolish and Cena beats Taker and Taker retires after Mania.

If Cena ended Undertakers career, he would be hated by fans and turn heel and that wont be good for Vince`s wallet

I don't think its that WWE is against having Cena face Undertaker, and who knows, it might happen next year, but right now John Cena is the face of the WWE, and consequently they want him to be in the title hunt. However, I do think there are probably very justifiable reasons for not having a match with Undertaker before: If you look at Cena's history, he's always been in a WWE Championship match since Mania 21, when he first won the title, they need him to be there because no matter what, to Vince, the WWE championship match is always the main event; therefore use Cena, their number 1 guy. Plus, I'm sure MANY people have noticed that he doesn't always get the best reception even if he's facing a heel. I don't think they would really want or need Cena to be portrayed as a heel against The Undertaker, because it's not good for them business-wise.

However, like you said, alot can happen in a year and at Wrestlemania 28, it could very well be Cena vs Taker.... Personally I would not be surprised if it was his last match either, as I think I'm right in saying it would take 'Taker to 20 - 0, and would be probably the perfect chance to retire, but who knows?

I don't know why Vince doesn't want this match to happen. John Never Lose Cena vs 18-0 (soon to be 19-0) Undertaker. Although this won't be the best match Undertaker has ever had this certainly would be the most interesting and have the most hype. If Cena isn't Takers opponent next year then this match is probably not going to happen. Hopefully Vince will open his eyes and see that Cena is the last real threat to Undertaker's streak.

Because if you examine Cena's character, there's no reason to have this match, and no buyrates would not skyrocket, actually, you'd have less buys for that match than any other you can come up with for Taker. Cena isn't the right man for a Taker match. Everyone that faces Taker at Mania does it for one of two reasons. Either to defend a title against him, or to end his streak. Cena isn't champ, and couldn't care less about a streak. Cena's character doesn't care about acolades or accomplishments, he only cares about winning the WWE title. He doesn't have any interest in ending the Taker's streak. And as I said before, it would be the lowest selling WM of all time if you did book that match cause no one wants to see this match and no one believes for one minute Cena could beat him.
