Default Why does WWE have three shows?

Sorry, but i'm just curious.

i rarely have the chance to watch WWE but i love the show anyway, and it just came as a random thought on why do they have three shows. I mean Raw, Smackdown and ECW, why? is it to appease something, or maybe they have too many wrestlers, or running out of ideas?

ECW no longer exist and the why reason they have many shows is because they have too many wrestlers

and if it was only 1 brand everyone couldnt yet tv time.. also more brands brands means more $

I don't know why they have 3 shows. NXT, the replacement for ECW, is complete trash, and has been taken off the air. It's only available online now.

In the past they Had a bigger roster and u cant have every single wwe superstar on one show you wont be able to see everyone. Then they will have a draft and they will switch it around so ppl can hav different matches and feuds against ppl.

WWE has four shows i.e.raw,superstars,smackdown and nxt.ecw is no more on satellites but a new show have replaced it---WWE NXT. It shows new talents and the winner gets a garanteed wwe contract. And they have a very good career in the company.

Eg. Wade barret, the winner of season1 was included in major storylines. Another contestent is the current us champ.

They have different shows because all talent cannot be showcased in one show. And they make more money.

No one mentioned Superstars. I know this show doesn't have any belts, but wrestlers that don't have a chance to wrestler on the main brands like raw and smackdown will compete in this show.

So the shows WWE have are Raw, Smackdown, NXT, and Superstars.

You'll notice that all of the WWE shows are on different networks. This is done so Vince can get the WWE into as many different markets as he can.

The WWE doesn't HAVE to have such a large roster. Vince hired them to increase the size of the WWE and to give the appearance that the WWE is too large for just one network. But that's just an illusion. Vince has such a large roster and several different shows so he CAN put them on different networks to reach as many markets as he can. Vince wants the world to believe that the WWE is the only TV wrestling that matters, so he puts a separate show on many different networks. The more people who watch the more they buy his merchandise and PPVs, the more money he makes, the more power he has.
