Summerslam 1997 is my favorite WWE Wrestling PPV. It is so underrated. Look at what was on the card on that PPV. Some of the matches on that card was Austin vs Owen Hart which was really awesome in terms of technical ability before that ill-fated injury, Ken Shamrock vs British Bulldog which had a great ending and Undertaker vs Bret Hart with Shawn Michaels as the special guest ref.

Wrestlemania 19.

This event had ALL of it, instant thrillers, the classics, the showstealers, the maineventers, the hype, just EVERYTHING... I can think of all the matches off the top off my head.

Matt Hardy vs. Rey Mysterio for the Cruiserweight Championship. Great match between the two, I loved the storyline, and this was when Rey was a VERY huge star to a lot of people.

Undertaker vs. A-Train and The Big Show. Although not perfectly put together, I personally think this was too unrealistic, even for the Undertaker but this is where he put his gimmick into full tact, and it ended up being a good deal at the end with keeping the streak alive.

Team Angle( Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas ) vs.Rhyno and Chris Benoit vs. Eddie and Chavo Guerrero for the Tag Championships. Great technical wrestlers in this match, some fan favorites, had suspense at the end and was a great way to hype up for the mainevents.

Shawn Michaels vs.Chris Jericho. The names in this match speak for its self and it was HBK's first WM since being injured for 4 years and he made it an instant classic, both men were acting as if they were compatible with each other and it turned out good. In the end, Jericho got the last word which I thought was a good deal because both men deserved the spotlight after that.

The cat fight involving Torrie Wilson and Sable was sexy, funny, and brilliant.

Triple H vs.Booker T for the WHC Championship. Not very good match though, but still had pure wrestlers in this match, I loved Ric Flair's involvements since the match wasn't that great anyway.

Hulk Hogan vs.Vince Mcmahon, the clash of the two biggest ego's in the industry, the boss vs the hulkamania. of course not going to be a good match but a very suspenseful match to say the least.

The Rock vs. Stone Cold, the faces STILL in the business, yet again making another classic match, this time they used their characters more often in this match but still an exciting ending and all.

Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle, one of the best submissions wrestlers against such a vicious monster who done a great deal of great wrestling, maybe the 2nd best match of the night( behind HBK/Jericho).

Also, the divas match with Trish Stratus against Victoria and Jazz was excellent, all three divas very skilled and motivational in their own rights which pulled to be a good match.

Overall - Best WWE PPV I have seen, maybe not the best ever but certainly the best one I have saw including additions with the promos as well.
