Default COMPUTER HELP PLEASE!!!

So a friend of mine was wanting me to burn a movie clip for them they saw off Youtube. The Problem is I guess you can't download off of youtube.

Well I have a new comp with a dvd burner, and I was trying to figure out would it be possible for me to take an actual dvd movie, cut some scenes from it on my comp and then burn just those scenes and not the whole movie.

Also I have windows movie maker, would that work in what I want to do.

The whole deal is they want just certain scenes from that Passion of the Christ Movie. Not the sound just the image, and I want to know if I could rip those scenes, maybe with windows media player and keep them on my comp, use that movie maker to edit them and then burn them onto a dvd?

Please help me!

You'll have to run either DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter to get past the CSS copy protection and then rip the DVD to your hard drive. From there you should be able to add whatever secenes you like...although I think if you're using Windows Movie Maker you wont be able to save the project as anything other then WMV which isn't compatible with DVD.

I never did much video editing in Windows so I honestly don't know what programs are out there for it.

Okay, two things, how do i get this DVD Shrink thing and second, if I save it as WMV, would I be able to save it onto a cd, and then have that disc play in another comp?

Well if you don't plan on ripping very much, I'm sure there's probably a free trial for the program (just google it) so you can rip those scenes and then be done with it. That or find a torrent.

If you saved it as a .wmv then as long as the file size didn't exceed 660mb (I think thats what CD's will allow anyway) and you burned it anyone with a computer and WMP or something that plays .wmv should be able to view it. They couldn't put it in a DVD player and watch it though.

Magic DVD Ripper will rip just the movie and not the menu so for what you wanna do I would say this is best. You can download it from here http://www.magicdvdripper.com/downlo...DRipper501.exe it is only a trial but if you wanna private message me with your msn e-mail addy or just your e-mail addy I will hook you up with how and where to get a full version. As for the editing of the movie windows movie maker will do that but takes a really long time to save for some reason so I would suggest looking for a different program and once again I will be able to give you a spot to make that trial all access just private message me.

You can get arount copy protection with a black sharpie marker.
Just color around the outside edge of the disc.
