Default Greatest Hits List Updated

June 02, 2003 - In the summer 2002, Sony Computer Entertainment America announced the commencement of its PlayStation 2-based Greatest Hits series.
PS2 Greatest Hits games are those that sell more than 400,000 units and have been on the market for more than nine months. Once they become considered a Greatest Hit, they can sell for either $29.99 or $19.99, and the box art changes (with a red bar at top and a small half oval) to indicate the change.

The line of high-volume selling games originally started on PlayStation with games such as Ridge Racer, Ace Combat, Tekken 2, Battle Arena Toshinden, and continued on to become a much-loved series. (Although admittedly, no dedicated gamer likes to have a green label game seen on his or her game shelf.) Now, you can have a red stripe instead...

The current list of Greatest Hits Games has rapidly grown to include as many as 40 titles, including numerous AAA titles.

Ace Combat 4 (Namco)
Agent Under Fire (EA)
ATV Off-Road Fury (Sony Computer Entertainment America)
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance (Interplay)
Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex (Universal Interactive)
Crazy Taxi (Acclaim/Sega)
Dark Cloud (SCEA)
Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 (Acclaim)
Devil May Cry (Capcom)
Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec (SCEA)
Grand Theft Auto 3 (Rockstar Games)
Hot Shots Golf 3 (SCEA)
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (SCEA)
Max Payne (Rockstar)
Maximo: Ghosts to Glory (Capcom)
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty (Konami)
Midnight Club: Street Racing (Rockstar)
Myst III: Exile (Ubi Soft)
NBA Street (Electronic Arts)
NBA 2K2 (Sega)
NFL 2K2 (Sega)
Onimusha: Warlords (Capcom)
Red Faction (THQ)
Resident Evil Code: Veronica X (Capcom)
Scooby Doo! Night of 100 Frights (THQ)
Silent Hill 2 (Konami)
Smuggler's Run (Rockstar Games)
Spiderman: The Movie (Activision)
Spy Hunter (Midway)
SSX (EA)
SSX Tricky (EA)
Star Wars: Starfighter (LucasArts)
Stuntman (Atari)
Tekken Tag Tournament (Namco)
Test Drive (Atari)
The Simpsons Road Rage (EA)
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 (Activision)
Twisted Metal: Black (SCEA)
Virtua Fighter 4 (Sega)
WWE SmackDown! Just Bring It (THQ)

We'll have constant updates to this feature in the future, as we're sure more games will be added to it.

These Greatest Hits games are a joke now. Before they all use to be really good games. Now there just making a lot of crap games a 'Greatest Hit' so it can sell better.
