Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly

Essentially the first shots from this title..although in my mind it has been a bit of a wait to simlpy find that Tecmo aren't exactly that far into production.I liked the first game,well I bought it and only played through once..guess I didn't like it that much.Anywho I figured the only place it deserved merit was on it's visual appeal,nice graphics but to me just not damn scary at all,couple of frustrating puzzles and you what- no guns!? a damn camera!?

Anyway word is this game is not directly linked to the previous title..the only apprent similarity is that location is the same although there is expansion from the "haunted house" and the camera trademark is back..all new characters and new story..

I never played the first one, but thought it sounded like an interisting idea and something I would play if I had time for it. But this one, with lesbo school girls in the dark, I'd take a picture of that.

Nah they're sisters..and still look kinda like Miku (heroine from the original)..meh she had the proper School Uniform..

that was nice.

The original was a pretty stable title.In my opinion it's best feature was it's visuals..very crisp,very fluid animations and some of the best FMV sequences I've ever seen.Having a camera as a weapon is a good or bad thing depending on your outlook.It was an innovative thing to do,but well I'm just all the more for Sub Machine Guns and Uzi's.Enemy AI was spot on..although you never really felt threatened by any of the ghosts..there were a few that gave you trouble but most were a little too easy for my liking.You could upgrade the camera for effect and the replay value was decent..at least so I hear because I only could be bothered clearing it once..hunter missions and capture missions throughout the game added a little more variety..pretty original oriental storyline as well..all in all a good game,just not Silent Hill good in my mind.Certainly worth a look.
