Default Review: The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker

The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker is the latest installment of the beloved series The Legend of Zelda. When revealed at Spaceworld, people bitched and complained about its switching to cel shading, and many people are not giving the game a chance due to it. Here are my thoughts

Graphics: 10
Sure, they might be the cartoony looking cel shading, but if you pay attention, you will notice some of the smoothest animation, character design, and overall just a cool look for the game.

Sound: 10
Mixing old with new, the game really does establish a great soundtrack. It also brings back classic sound effects from the previous Zelda games that long time Zelda enthusiasts like myself will notice.

Gameplay: 10
The battling is perfect. Adding parrying among other things to the Ocarina of Time battle system, players that have played OOT or Majoras Mask will be able to have the system down in a heart beat, and for all the Zelda newbies, it will take a while learning parrying and other things like that, but you get used to it. The only thing wrong with it really is so far it is a bit easy.

Lasting Appeal: 10
20+ hours of gameplay for people who are hardcore Zelda plans, and almost twice that to get everything(at least IGN says that, I haven't beaten it yet). The game is more story driven then the previous ones, and the story thus far is AMAZING. It is slowly linking itself to every previous Zelda game, and it is tying in perfectly.

Hollywood Hogan rates this game: 10/10

If you are a Gamecube owner, this is the game you have been waiting for to make you feel like buying it was worth it. If you don't own a Gamecube, this game is a reason to go out and buy one.

My friend just got the game so I'll be heading over to his house to try it out.

I still haven't played it yet, but my friend said it seems like there's a lot of gay people in it.
