I like the original series, some of next generation, and some of the movies (tng ones sucked though). The other stuff really didn't impress me. None of the newer shows could ever replicate the original show. Th interaction of the characters like Kirk/Bones, Kirk/Spock, and Bones/Spock just makes it damn fun to watch.

Star Wars is just an almagam of a bunch of stuff copied from other stuff George Lucas encountered in his days as a scifi nerd. Even the Death Star is from something that first appeared in Space Battleship Yamato (also known as Star Blazers in the US). The movies are ok, but I think they've really been over-rated lately. I also felt Empire Strikes Back was better then the first one because of the directorship. George Lucas can't direct. I didn't even bother to see the latest one since Episode 1 was complete crap. Was I right not to see this movie?

Star Trek is so damn boring,I hate it.

I don't even like Star Wars that much but I'd choose it over Star Trek anyday..Captain Picard deserves a good kicking in the balls

Star Trek is more pure scifi and Star Wars is more fantasy laced with scifi. I think Star Trek is better just because of it was alot more original and basically paved the way for alot of future scifi series in all forms of fiction. They didn't even try to put a decent story in Star Wars untill the second movie. Although on the other hand, Star Trek does not have an overall storyline, but the characters and formula are still good.
