Default What do u think of Tattoos?

I would like to know if there s people here who enjoy the art of tattooing and being tattooed.
If so, how many do u have on your body and what are they? (a moon, jesus, tribal, dragon...) and the signification they have for each of you .

I LOVE tattoos as well as piercings. I have two tattoos so far and want to get another one after the baby is born.

My first tattoo is a purple rose with a black heart going through it . That's on my right breast.

My second is a blue green dragon and that's in my upper arm.

I actually have several and i've described them in many of these threads here. The next one i'm getting will be a cross on my back with a skull on each and and barbedwire wrapped around the top with a bit of blood dripping off. Should come out to around 700 but it's worth it. I have a few and I love the body art. I'll probably continue to add on until I run out of room.

I don't have any, but I would like to get one when I get to be like 25. It'd be of my family crest which dates back to the 10th century. It has the type of lion on it as my little avatar has. Actually, that lion came from a pic of my family crest.

They are a little too painful and permanent for my tastes...
On other people, I like little ones. Or like the barb wire around a guys upper arm. But I don't like a lot of tattoos or really big ones at all.

The first one had a slight pinch to it but only for the first few minutes, I get mine done at a shop where they blast nothing but metal and punk music, you really don't pay attention to what is going on if yoiu're into that music

There are alot worse things a person can spend there money on. I'd rather spend money on a tattoo or piercing then booze or drugs. And I'd sure as hell would rather get a tattoo or piercing done for my birthday/aniversary,Yule,valentines day ect. As aposed to flowers that can die ect. A tattoo lasts longer so it has a deeper meaning.

What makes a tattoo a waste of money? Mine symbolize things i my life or things about me for the most part. Buying alcohol or cigaretees is a waste, because you can't keep that unless you store it for life. This is something that will stay with me until I die, and i'm very proud to have one with my grandmothers name, remembering her for her passing away and how great she was. I hear all this shit about waste of time and money etc. It's a choice just like people always buying video games, or beer whatever. it's a choice, and for some a very important story is told with the tats that they have. I'd sure like to knw your reasoning behind being a waste.

Once again couldn't agree with you more.

Thank you, nice to know that someone can either relate to the situation or understand.
