Default Your favorite movie ever and why.....

hopefully this will get more of a response than just one or two word answers......anyway.....what is your single favorite movie of all time and why is it?......is it because of the actors, the plot, the effects or what.....

mine is the movie Diggstown, starring Louis Gossett, James Woods and Oliver Platt.....i enjoy this movie more each time that i watch it, and i've seen it many times (ok, 25 or so).....my reason that this is #1 on my list is because when i went to the theatre to watch it, at the end 50 people or more stood up and cheered.....the plot was good but predictable, the acting was 4*, so nothing outstanding there.....it's just that, throughout the movie, you grow to hate the 'bad guys' and cheer for the 'good guys'.....you can feel a sense of anger for what the town did to Malcolm Diggs, and he is only in the movie twice.....

well, i could go on about this movie, but i'm looking for a response with your favorites and why they are.....maybe i just need some new movies to watch.....thanks in advance.....

Ocean's Eleven

The movie is so sleek, shiny and modern. It is also the slickest movie ever. The camera angles as they slide from one scene to another, the stunning soundtrack, perfect for the sheek style of the film, the wonderful actors like George Clooney, Andy Garcia, Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt to name a few of the magnificent collaboration. The plot is intelligent and leads in many directions, but not confusing or awkward like the Matrix often is. The parst are played out tremedously well, most notably Rusty (Pitt). A few things bug me though, like the errors that shine out of it, like the hooker leaflets coming up the elevator - where did they come from!? Aside from a few other slight errors and mistakes this movie is the greatest EVER!

That enough words for ya'?

Menace II Society

It's my all time favorite movie because the main character is generally a good person, and because of his surroundings (area he lives, friends, events that happen) he becomes kind of a bad person. Everything builds up and the climax of the movie the end, when everything comes back to him. He was trying to change his life by moving away, but he doesn't get out soon enough. It is never over or under acted, and the cast, though not well known (at the time it was released anyways), was perfect. I can watch this movie anytime and get full enjoyment out of it.

Mine is 8 Mile, I thought it was a great movie, had good acting, and was real dramatic, and at the same time incredibly interesting. One down side was it seemed to leave you hanging, like, I guess I know what happened after things started turning in the right direction, but it would still be interesting to see them like you usually dont. The battling was probably my favorite part though, Eminem always comes up with witty little disses to anyone in his path.

Happy Gilmore.

It's just the stupidest funny movie. I guess it's not really my fave, but it's about the only movie I usually feel like watching at any given time.

Clerks...its gotta be my favorite,
I can watch it any time, and I always laugh.
The humor is dead on, no one writes dialogue like Kevin Smith. Every bit of that movie is brilliant.

Just Inspirational, I can't think of anything else to describe it, sorry oeo.....

EDIT - Of course I would've put A Nightmare on Elm Street but you know you can't top a Timeless Classic like Rocky.

You had to admit Godfather 3 really did suck.
