Default The Boondocks

The comic strip currently seen in 350 news papers nationwide is getting the animated treatment from FOX

the network has ordered a pilot for the 2004-2005 midseason
(so far in advance due to the length of time ot takes to make one episode)

The series would focus of course on Huey, the young intellectual revolutionary, and Riley his gangsta wannabe brother who both move from the inner city to their Grandfather's suburban home

..............I have mixed feelings about this one

on the good side, this is IMO one of the most consistantly funny strips I've seen in a long time, Its good that the comic responsible is getting some recognition for it

on the bad side, I personally think of this as selling out, which is something Huey (the main character) would not approve of
also, I'm not sure that the stip could support a half hour block
