Default Best Director

Who do you think is the best director or who makes the best movies? Name some movies to back your reasoning also.

I don't know too many of them, but I have to say that Jerry Bruckheimer is a damn good one. He has made some great movies over the past several years. His movies include The Rock, Gone in 60 Seconds, Enemy of the State, Days of Thunder, Con Air, Dangerous Minds, and Bad Boys. Those are just the ones that I have seen. There are others that had great reviews that include Armageddon, Blackhawk Down (I saw some of it, but I thought it was boring even though most people said it was great), Pearl Harbor, Coyote Ugly, and Crimson Tide.

all the directors mentioned above are good ones. I like Antwan Fuqua(?) who directed Training Day and Tears of the Sun.

Sam Mendes...he hasnt done much but what he's done has been pretty good
road to Perdition, and American Beauty

Joel Schumaker...aside from the rampant homosexuality of his Batman sequels he's done some cool movies Phone booth, Falling Down were both good

Tim Burton...Batman, Sleepy Hollow, From Hell...amongst others..ignore his Planet of The Apes remake tho
