Default Murder Inc. Probe Details Uncover Drug Ties, 50 Cent Shooting

Affidavit claims Murder Inc. fueled by drug kinpin, behind 2000 shooting of 50 Cent...

The now four month long investigation into Murder Inc. Records is starting to shed light on some shady doings.

Last week, police arrested Dexter Ottley, the head of radio promotions for Murder Inc, for firearm possession. Murder Inc. artist Caddillac Tah was also arrested, but later released.

The real juicy information comes from a 32 page affidavit filed by an IRS special agent which details more connections between notorious drug kingpin Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff and Murder Inc.

The affidavit claims that McGriff, the the leader of infamous New York drug cartel the Supreme Team, is the real owner of Murder Inc. and that Irv Gotti, the man thought of as the head of the label, is just the "public face." The document claims that Murder Inc. pays McGriff under a false name, that he has conducted illegal activities using Murder Inc. travel funds and a Def Jam two-way pager, and that he was behind the 2000 shooting of current rap superstar 50 Cent. The shooting of 50 Cent apparently came as a result of a song by the rapper that exposed McGriff's criminal activities.

Investigators have stock piled evidence against Murder Inc., including business bank records, McGriff's two way messages, travel records, surveillance, and testimony of two confidential witnesses who claim to have observed McGriff walking in and out of Murder Inc. offices on a regular basis.

Investigators are hoping to get permission to freeze McGriff's bank accounts. It should be noted that McGriff, Irv Gotti, and Murder Inc. have not been charged with anything yet.

Interestingly enough, Murder Inc. artist Blackchild has brought to light a recent slip up by Murder Inc. star Ja Rule that may cause more speculation. In Ja Rule's 50 Cent bashing track, Loose Change, he raps "50, you gon' get shot again by the M-U-R-E-D-R Inc." Blackchild claims that Ja misspelled "murder" on purpose to avoid making a self-incriminating statement.
