Default Past Cartoons VS Present Cartoons

Recently, I have started watching the old cartoons that I watched during my childhood. You know, the classic Tom and Jerry, Droopy, Bugs Bunny, etc. And it got me to thinkin about how much better they use to be than they are now. I mean, there's shit on like Cow and Chicken, CatDog, Wild Thornberries, and all these other cartoons that just FLAT OUT SUCK.

So this brings me to the question. What cartoons do you prefer? Old, new, or some of both? Whichever you choose, name a few cartoons that you like.

For me, I think I like more of the older cartoons like Tom and Jerry, Droopy, Road Runner, Bugs Bunny and umm that's it I think.

There are a few newer cartoons that I think are ok like Spongebob Squarepants and Ed, Edd, and Eddy, but in my opinion they don't compare to the old cartoons that I grew up with.

There is no question as to which are better, the older ones are clearly better. Cartoons today are brutal, I dont even know how kids watch them. Only one that I like is "Sponge Bob Square Pants" (dont laugh). Other than that they're all horrible in my opinion. Oh well, at least I dont have to watch this crap, I got to watch most of the good ones when I was younger so it doesn't really bother me.

Those old bugs bunny cartoons were pretty good because they were made for adults and kids. They were shown in movie theatres back then. Nowadays most US cartoons are made for kids only and are thus dumbed down pretty far. There are some exceptions though, like the new TMNT cartoon which is pretty good and not dumbed down.

Well I don't watch any of the new cartoons so most of them I don't know what they are about or what they look like. For the news ones I do know about they look pretty boring. So I would say the old cartoons are better.

I like both. There's lot's of great new cartoons like batman, justice league, and stuff like that. I think there are a bunch of crap too. But take it in stride. I've seen some of the old 80's cartoons recently, and they're not much to look at either. I guess old is like 50 years ago or something. Meh, there's always enough to watch and with more and more anime coming up, there's more to look forward to.

The classic cartoons bugs, porky pig, daffy duck, tom and jerry, droopy, road runner etc were all made in the fortys and fiftys and yet kids continue to enjoy them. Even scooby doo is forty years old. I cant think of anything that is shown on tv that is as old as these cartoons and people cant get enough of them. Of all the current cartoons can anybody see people watching them in 50-60 years? I dont think so.
The classics are timeless and without compare
