Default What type of guy do you consider more of a breakout star?

A guy who WWE has their eyes on since the day they are born and make it their goal to make him a top guy and push over and over until they start to click with fans (or are forced to click with fans because they're pushed so much in a top spot) (Randy Orton, Batista, John Cena)

or

A guy who WWE is iffy or even has no intention of originally pushing but the fans grow to like the guy so much and he works his @ss off at his craft every night getting over NATURALLY without the WWE behind him and eventually WWE has to cave in and push him because the fans are responding to him each and every single night? (Steve Austin, The Rock, Diamond Dallas Page)

I agree about Jericho and Edge too

I ask this question because certain top guys in WWE today that fans claim are huge stars, WWE wanted to make them huge stars, while other guys who were stars in the past made themselves stars without WWE's (or WCW's) confidence in the beginning
